Vice Chairman Minh highlighted the significance of the visit by 3 Indian ships in enhancing mutual understanding, and exchanging experience in ensuring maritime safety and security.

The host hoped that the cooperative relationships between Viet Nam and India in general, and Da Nang and Indian localities in particular, would be deepened in the years ahead.

In reply, Rear Admiral Dinesh said that the purpose of the visit was to intensify mutual understanding and trust between the navies of the 2 countries, as well as tighten bilateral friendship cooperation.

The Indian guest said that he was very impressed by the city’s rapid growth over recent years, as well as the friendliness and hospitability of local residents. He believed that the bilateral cooperative ties, especially in defence, between Da Nang and Indian localities and businesses, would be further strengthened.

In another reception on the same day for Dr Constantin Malik, Executive Director of Global Relations and Development from the Malik Institute, Switzerland, Vice Chairman Minh highly appreciated the Institute’s proposals about the development of the city with a vision towards 2030.

The city leader, however, asked the Institute to develop their strategies different from the city’s previous ones, with a focus on building smarter city, managing modern urban and training human resources. He also requested that the Institute should perfect and submit their plans to the city authorities for approval as soon as possible.

Dr Constantin Malik remarked that the Malik Institute has many years of experience in developing strategies in foreign countries, including Netherlands and Austria. In addition, the Institute has already implemented many cooperative programmes with such Vietnamese organisations as Viettel and Vingroup.

In 1984, the Malik Institute was established in St. Gallen, Switzerland by Prof. Dr. Fredmund Malik. The Institute has been named the world’s leading knowledge organisations for management solutions.
