Administrative simplification benefits residents and businesses
In 2018, Da Nang is taking more measures to enhance its business environment and competitiveness.
The focus is on simplifying administrative procedures in a bid to save costs and time for local citizens and businesses.
In particular, the time limit for granting licences for start-up companies and entrepreneurs will be cut from 14 to 12 days, and for granting construction licences and related procedures from 141 to 115 days, plus for registering ownership and property rights from 21 to 20 days.
Importance is attached to reducing the average time for corporate tax declaration and payment procedures to a maximum of 119 hours, and for compulsory insurance payment procedures for businesses to 49 hours. Also, the implementation of e-tax and social insurance declaration and payment procedures is accelerated.
The time taken for customs procedures for exports is be reduced to less than 70 hours, and for imports to less than 90 hours.
Heed is paid to speeding up the IT applications in handling administrative procedures, and the implementation of e-public services, as well as accelerating the non-cash payment for public services, including tax, electricity, water, tuition fees and hospital charges, and other social welfare programmes.
Also, special attention is paid to increasing the quality of tourism and medical infrastructure, and healthcare services. Stronger measures is taken to ensure the social safety and order, and environmental hygiene at the tourist sites.
Greater efforts is made to improve the city’s performance at the annual Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI). In addition, local government employees are required to show their friendly and hospitable attitudes and behaviour towards businesses and residents.
