In particular, there are a total of 6,033 martyrs' graves across the district, 1,638 of which are of unknown people.

Over recent years, many martyrs’ cemeteries have been refurbished, and the refurbishment costs have come from the budgets of the national government, the city and the district.

So far this year, the upgrade of the martyrs’ cemeteries in Hoa Chau and Hoa Lien communes at a cost of over 10.1 billion VND in total has been basically completed.

With the aim of paying tribute to the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s re-unification, the authorities of 11 communes are implementing such meaningful activities like repairing and cleaning martyrs’ cemeteries in their localities.
