South Korean bank willing to fund city's transport projects
Recently, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Tuan held a reception for Mr Park Jong Kyu, a chief representative of the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Keximbank) in Ha Noi.

The Korean guest remarked that his bank was providing ODA loans for its partner countries through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund. Also, the South Korean bank was implementing the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) in which South Korea shares its development experience and knowledge with its partner countries, as well as gives consultancy services on research works and technical assistance to them.
Mr Park pledged that Keximbank is willing to provide the most completed research to recommend Da Nang for an urban railway planning project, and a public transport planning as a whole.
He also promised that his bank would finance the city’s transport projects, and offer credit support packages to its other key projects which appeal for investment.
In reply, Vice Chairman Tuan said Da Nang has been developing a master plan for its progress by 2030 with a vision towards 2045, with a focus on adjusting the planning of transport system in the city.
In addition, the host introduced his guest to 65 key projects in which the city is appealing for investment in the coming time, hoping that Keximbank would provide the city with ODA loans from the South Korean government.
Mr Tuan also asked for help from the Korean bank to approve and give technical supports in planning, operating and managing the city’s urban railway system.
