“Over recent years, many of the city’s high-ranking officials have made working trips to European countries, including the UK. In addition, numerous local universities and junior colleges have implemented cooperative programmes with educational institutes in the UK”, he highlighted.
The city leader, however, emphasised the bilateral cooperative relationship with the UK has yet to fully tap the great potentials and expectations of the two sides. He also asked for the help from the British diplomat to appeal for even more investors from his country to visit and learn about the city’s investment climate in the coming time.
In reply, the British diplomat expressed his impression on the city’s rapid economic growth in recent years. He vowed to make greater efforts to boost the bilateral cooperative relations with Da Nang in various aspects, including trade, investment, education, and high-quality human resource training.
In addition, he asked the municipal government to boost the bilateral cooperation on certain aspects in which the 2 sides show off their strengths like social welfare and creative science.
