KOTRA's representative office to open in city in Nov
On Monday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh played host to Mr Kim Ki-joon, President of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) in Southeast Asia-Oceania cum General Director of KOTRA in Ha Noi.

During his reception for South Korean guest, Vice Chairman Minh highly hailed the fruitful results from the bilateral cooperative relations between between Da Nang and some Korean localities, and Viet Nam and South Korea as a whole, over recent years.
“Last year, Da Nang welcomed a total of over 900,000 Korean visitors. Currently, the city is now home to 112 valid Korean-invested projects, totalling 556 million USD”, he remarked.
The host pledged that the municipal authorities would create every favourable condition for KOTRA to open its representative office in his city in November in order to attract even more investment from South Korean businesses into the city, as well as advertise the images of the city to South Koreacitizens.
In reply, President Kim revealed KOTRA has to date opened 126 representative offices in 85 countries worldwide.
He also noted KOTRA officially moved its regional headquarters of Southeast Asia and Oceania from Singapore to Ha Noi on 1 August in attempting to assist Korean businesses to operate effectively in Viet Nam. Also, he expected that KOTRA’s representative office would be officially put into operation in November in Da Nang.
The Korean guest expressed his belief that the soon-to-be-opened office would help to attract even more South Korean investors to the city, and the central region as a whole, in order to promote the sustainable economic growth in both Viet Nam and South Korean.
