Laotian ambassador pays farewell visits to city leaders

During his reception on Tuesday for Laotian Consul General Khamsene Phommaseng, who came to bid farewell at the end of his 5-year tenure in Viet Nam, Da Nang Party Committee Standing Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri applauded Laotian diplomat’s efforts in fostering special cooperation between Da Nang and Laotian localities, and the 2 countries as a whole.

Standing Deputy Secretary Tri, emphasised that, in recent years, Da Nang has always maintained good relationships with localities of Laos through the deployment of many  cooperative programmes in such aspects as education and training, healthcare and agriculture, hereby making the bilateral relationship growing in depth with higher efficiency.

The host affirmed that the Party, authorities and people of Da Nang would do their utmost to lift the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Da Nang and Laotian localities, and the 2 countries as a whole, to new heights, in the coming time.

In reply, Consul General Khamsene Phommaseng highly appreciated Da Nang’s great support for Lao localities over recent years.

The outgoing Laotian diplomat promised to make even greater efforts to strengthen the “forever green and forever sustainable” friendship and solidarity between the 2 countries in the years ahead.

On the same day, Laotian Consul General Khamsene Phommaseng and his wife also paid him farewell visits to municipal People’s Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung, municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho and Vice Chairman of the municipal Fatherland Front Committee Tran Viet Dung, at the end of his term of office in the country.

During their receptions for the outgoing Laotian Consul General, the hosts highly praised him for his active involvement in boosting the special solidarity and multi-faceted cooperative ties between Da Nang and Laotian localities, and between the 2 countries as a whole, in a practical, intensive and result-oriented manner.
