During his reception on Monday for a delegation from the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK), led by its President Jung Kyu-Sung, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung remarked that South Korea is now one of the largest foreign investors in the city with 112 projects totaling over 556 million US$.

In the first half of this year alone, the city welcomed a total of about 800,000 South Korean tourists.

Vice Chairman Dung also asked for help from South Korean press agencies to continue to promote the fruitful friendship between Da Nang and South Korean localities, and between the 2 countries as a whole, and advertise the city’s potential and strengths amongst their readers, including businesses.

In reply, President Jung Kyu Sung noted that their visit to Da Nang will help the JAK gain a deeper insight into the city’s potential and strengths, thereby appealing for more South Korean press agencies to release more interesting stories advertising the city’s image to people in this East Asian nation, and other countries worldwide. 

The South Korean guest also affirmed that he would be actively involved in promoting bilateral exchanges of professional skills with Da Nang’s press agencies, hereby helping to strengthen the friendship between Da Nang and South Korean localities, and between the 2 countries as a whole, in the coming time.
