During his reception on Thursday for Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Viet Nam Anar Imanov, Da Nang People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho briefed him on the city’s socio-economic development potential, and such priority aspects which are seeking investment as seaports, logistics services, and tourism.

With regard to cooperative relationship between Azerbaijan and Da Nang, Chairman Tho pointed out the fact that said that no cooperative activities and exchanges of specific delegations between the two localities have been done.

Given that fact, the municipal government leader said he would like Ambassador Anar Imanov to introduce the city’s investment environment to Azerbaijani organisations and businesses which show keen interest in the aspects of cultural exchange, and education and trade cooperation.

The host vowed that the very favourable conditions would be created for Azerbaijani businesses to seek investment opportunities in Da Nang, hereby helping to build stronger relationships between the 2 sides.

Ambassador Anar Imanov affirmed his country has always attached great importance to fostering relationships and cooperative ties with Viet Nam, including Da Nang.

In particular, Da Nang boasts the great tourism development potential, whilst Azerbaijani people know very little information about the city’s aspect. Hence, it is very necessary to hold events for advertising Da Nang’s tourism to Azerbaijani businesses and people in the coming time.

The Azerbaijani diplomat also affirmed that, during his tenure, he would be actively involved in promoting specific bilateral cooperation programmes in education, hi-tech agriculture and tourism promotion.

Also, the foreign guest invited the Da Nang leaders to an exhibition about tourism promotion and investment attraction which is scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan in April 2019. He emphasised this is a good opportunity for Da Nang to promote its investment environment to Azerbaijani organisations and businesses.

In reply, Chairman Tho thanked Ambassador Anar Imanov for his invitation, and said the city leaders would send an appropriate delegation to attend this event.
