City leaders congratulate teachers on their special day

On Monday, Da Nang Party Committee (PaC) Secretary Truong Quang Nghia visited and extended his best wishes to lecturers and staff members of the municipal School of Politics on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (20 November).

The city party chief highly praised the school for its remarkable achievements in training officials and employees from the authorities at municipal, district, ward, and communal levels.

Secretary Nghia also asked the school’s leaders to listen to opinions of its trainees in order to help them overcome difficulties. He also urged the school’s teaching staff to constantly uphold their revolutionary ideals and enhance their teaching skills.

During his meeting on the same day with teaching staff of the Le Quy Don Senior High School for the Gifted, Secretary Nghia urged them to renew their teaching methods to facilitate their pupils to develop comprehensively.

Mr Nghia also asked the school’s teachers to increase exchange activities with their colleagues both at home and abroad in order to enhance their professional skills.

Also on Monday, municipal PaC Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri paid a visit to the Hoa Bac Primary School in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Bac Commune.

Deputy Secretary Tri applauded the efforts of the school’s teaching staff in overcoming difficulties to teach in the remote rural school. He also underscored the significance of enhancing the quality of teaching and learning activities. In addition, the important role of the school’ teachers in setting bright examples for their pupils to follow was highlighted.

On the same day, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung attended a ceremony at the University of Da Nang to celebrate the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

During the last academic year, the University developed many high-quality educational programmes, and accredited programmes under the AUN-QA system.

The University has been named one of Viet Nam’s 7 best universities which have made it to the list of 500 best universities in Asia, according to QS Ranking.
