Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia played host to Argentinean Ambassador to Viet Nam Juan Carlos Valle Raleigh on Tuesday.

During his reception for his Argentine guest, the city Party chief asked for help from Ambassador Juan Carlos Valle Raleigh to boost bilateral cooperation on such aspects of mutual interest as hi-tech industry, education, tourism, culture and sports, thereby contributing to lift the bilateral relations between Argentina with Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, to new heights.

In reply, the Argentinean Ambassador re-affirmed the Argentine government’s persistent stance on attaching great importance to boosting cooperative relations with Da Nang, and Viet Nam at large.

The Argentinean diplomat remarked Da Nang shows off great potential for cooperation with Argentinean localities, including Mar del Plata, a city which shares some similarities in natural conditions as Da Nang.

He, therefore, underscored the significance of promoting bilateral cooperation, with a focus on aspects in which both of them have the same development orientations. Included are tourism, education, cultural exchange and sports.

The visiting guest pledged that the Argentinean Embassy in Viet Nam is willing to faciliate the 2 sides to carry out their bilateral exchanges and cooperation activities.

He also asked the Da Nang authorities, in the coming time, to create the most favourable possible conditions for Argentinean organisations and businesses to explore investment opportunities in Da Nang.

Highly appreciating the above-mentioned constructive suggestions made by the Argentinean Ambassador, the city leader underlined the importance of establishing cooperative ties between Da Nang and Mar del Plata in the future in accelerating the cooperative relationships between the 2 counties.
