On 3 December (local time), the Da Nang Department of Tourism joined efforts with the Qatar Airways to organise a seminar in France’s Paris to introduce the city’s tourism products.

The event was part of an ongoing working trip to Europe by a group of Da Nang's leaders, led by municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung.

It was attended by Mr Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France and Mr Nguyen Thiep, the Vietnamese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, along with representatives from tourism and IT businesses, and international media agencies in Paris.  

In his remarks at the event, Vice Chairman Dung expressed his delight at the fruitful results from numerous cooperative programmes and cultural exchange activities between Da Nang and French localities in recent years.

For his part, Vietnamese ambassador Thiep applauded the Da Nang Tourism Department for its great efforts in advertising local tourism products to Paris during their ongoing working trip here.

The Vietnamese diplomat also asked French tourism businesses to join efforts with travel companies in Da Nang and the Qatar Airways to promote the opening of non-stop flights between Da Nang and European countries soon.

Also at the event, the municipal Department signed memoranda of understanding on cooperation with the French city of Sens in promoting the development of tourism, and with the Logiyonne company in organising the Raid Amazones, in 2019.

The local agency also entered into an agreement with the H&V Tech Company on implementing an online travel media project in order to advertise the city’s tourism products to European countries.
