During his reception for Singaporean guests, Vice Chairman Dung remarked his city needs technology and financial help from its foreign partners to implement numerous large projects in the locality.
He added appeals for investment are also being made for the construction of the Lien Chieu Port and a solid waste treatment complex, moving the exisiting railway station into new location, and implementing the ‘Building Da Nang into a Smarter City’ project.
Mr Dung remarked that Da Nang is seeking a helping hand from international organisations, including IA, to implement the above-mentioned projects.
Vice Chairman Dung also asked for help from IA to appeal for even more Singaporean investments into the city.
In reply, Mr Seth Tan Keng Hwee, the Executive Director of IA, affirmed his agency has gained a rich experience in infrastructure development from its presence in many countries worldwide .
“IA has a partner network with many international organisations and developed countries' governments around the world. Therefore, my agency can give technological and financial solutions matching with Da Nang”, the Singaporean guest emphasised.
Mr Hwee suggested that the municipal authorities and his agency would together discuss specific cooperation issues in the coming time.
Established in October 2018, IA is under the management of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the Singaporean Investment Promotion Agency.
The intention is to support Asia’s economic and social growth through infrastructure development. It will serve as a bridge for different industry players across the infrastructure ecosystem, multilateral development banks (MDBs) and the public sector. It is also a one-stop platform for the information exchange and sharing of best practices in Asia.
