The Da Nang Hi-tech Park is the third of its kind in Viet Nam after those in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, receiving the national government’s especially preferential treatment to attract greater investment.

In addition, the city’s dedicated IT Park is expected to be put into operation next month.

Besides, the city is now home to many universities and junior colleges that offer academic courses in IT and hi-tech.

As part of Harvey Nash Group, NashTech is a global technology, consulting, and outsourcing company.

NashTech has established its representative offices in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City, with a total of about 250 best-trained employees involved in the aspects of IT, telecommunications network development, telecommunications software, and 3G and 4G technologies in Viet Nam.

According to Mr Nick Lonsdale, the NashTech CEO, with the intention of further developing IT in Viet Nam, his company is willing to cooperate with Da Nang and other Vietnamese localities in the coming time.

The UK guest said his organisation needs a helping hand from the city authorities to facilitate the opening of its representative office in Da Nang so as to accelerate the local IT industry and provide telecommunications software to the locality.
