Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Huynh Duc Tho has recently approved the granting of 11 billion VND in aid from the city budget to southern provinces of Laos in order to help them foster their socio-economic development during this year.

Under the leadership of the Da Nang Project Management and Investment Cooperation Centre in Laos, the money will be used to build a 2.9 billion VND agricultural promotion and training centre in Sekong Province, and another one in Attapeu Province at a cost of 2.4 billion VND.

Besides, 4 billion VND will be spent on upgrading the Vietnamese People’s Association Friendship Primary School into a junior high school.

Also this year, schools and a Vietnamese language centre will be constructed in Attapeu Province at a total cost of 450 million VND, whilst the similar projects will be implemented in Salavan Province at a total investment of 1.5 billion VND.
