DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un arrives in Ha Noi
Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un and his entourage have arrived at Melia Ha Noi Hotel after two and a half hours moving from Dong Dang Station in the northern border province of Lang Son.

The DPRK Chairman left Pyongyang on 23 February afternoon on a special train for Viet Nam where he will attend the second DPRK-USA Summit on 27 and 28 February.
He will also pay an official friendship visit to Viet Nam at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee (CPVCC) and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) had previously reported that the DPRK Chairman has been accompanied by senior DPRK officials, including his younger sister Kim Yo-jong, alternate member of the Political Bureau and Deputy Director of the WPK Central Committee’s Propaganda and Agitation Department, and Vice Chairman of the WPK Central Committee Kim Yong-chol.
Juts after a short time, Viet Nam has completed all necessary preparations for the important event. Through the hosting of the summit, Hanoi wants to deliver a message of the “City for Peace” to the international community.
The DPRK-USA Ha Noi Summit Viet Nam is an international event that has drawn much attention from the world as it directly related to peace building in the region and there have been positive signals in the negotiation process since the first summit in Singapore in June 2018.
Viet Nam and the DPRK officially established diplomatic relations on 31 January 1950. Since then, Viet Nam has always treasured the traditional friendship and cooperation with the DPRK.
