Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un will pay an official friendship visit to Viet Nam in the coming days.

The visit is made at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam Central Committee and President of Viet Nam Nguyen Phu Trong, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on 23 February.

Viet Nam is making meticulous preparation for the second summit between the DPRK leader and US President Donald Trump, which is slated to take place in the capital city of Ha Noi on 27 and 28 February.
