On Wednesday morning, a total of 1,145 young men across Da Nang said goodbye to their family members and friends to join the military service.

Attending at the see-off ceremony for recruits held in districts were municipal People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, and Vice Chairmen Dang Viet Dung, Ho Ky Minh and Tran Van Mien, plus Political Commissar of the Military Zone 5 Lt Gen Tran Quang Phuong.

Chairman Tho encouraging recruits to make every effort to fulfill their assigned tasks.

According to the municipal Army High Command, the 1,145 new recruits in total are aged from 18 to 26, including 10 Party members and 86 employees who are working at the city-based enterprises.

Amongst of them, 1,000 recruits will join in military service, whilst the remaining 145 will serve the police force within the required time.
