PM extends Tet greetings to armed forces and residents in the city
On Tuesday (the 1st day of the 1st lunar month), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid Tet visits to armed forces, and the Thuan Phuoc Ward authorities, in Da Nang.

He was accompanied by Deputy Minister for Public Security Lt Gen Nguyen Van Son, Political Commissar of the Military Zone 5 Lt Gen Tran Quang Phuong, Deputy Commander of the local Guard High Command Major General Le Huy Dong, Deputy Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Vo Cong Tri, and Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Huynh Duc Tho.
During his meeting with military officers at the city-based Military High Command, PM Phuc sent Tet greetings from Party and State leaders to officers and men of the armed forces in the city.
The national leader highly appreciated the military forces for their great efforts for the city’s progress over the last year. He also urged them to continue upholding their heroic traditions and maintaining combat readiness to fulfil their tasks assigned by the Party and State.
Mr Phuc also asked leaders of armed forces units to better care for the lives of their officers and soldiers who are on duty during the Tet holiday.
On behalf of local armed forces, the Commander of the city-based Military Headquarters, Colonel Truong Chi Lang, reported PM Phuc about the armed forces’ outstanding achievements in 2018, elaborating that they successfully ensured political security and social order, and combat crimes.

On the same day, the Government leader visited and extended Tet wishes to the authorities and residents in Thuan Phuoc Ward of Hai Chau District.
Mr Phuc spoke highly of the ward authorities for their efforts in accelerating the administrative reform, fulfilling its target of ensuring social welfare and poverty reduction programmes, and promoting the classification of household waste.
