The PM said Park has brought great delight to Vietnamese people with the team’s recent achievements, adding that the head coach serves as an important bridge for friendship between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The Vietnamese Government and people greatly appreciate Park’s contributions to national football over the past few years, he said, adding that Park has laid a great foundation for the future of the sport in Viet Nam.
He expressed his wish that Park will make further contributions to the industry in the near future.
Park, for his part, said the team has received noted support from ministries, agencies, and the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) over the years.
As important competitions lay ahead this year, the guest vowed to do his best to meet the expectations of Vietnamese fans.
The PM said he will arrange time to work with VFF and the head coach to listen to their suggestions. He also required ministries and agencies concerned to offer timely rewards to the team.
He wished that the coach would exert all efforts for the national men’s football team, and asked the VFF to promptly report all of Park’s suggestions to him.
The leader said the RoK President also frequently talked about Park during their bilateral meetings.
On the occasion, PM Phuc expressed hope that Park would reap further success with Vietnamese football in the near future.
