3,305 billion VND to deal with flooding problems
A sum of 3,305 billion VND from the Da Nang budget will be spent on dealing with drainage and flooding problems across the city.

In detail, 2,450 billion VND of this figure will be granted to the city’s Management Board for the Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects and Management Board of Traffic Project Investment and Construction to upgrade water treatment works at coastal areas on the east side of Son Tra and Ngu Hanh Son districts.
In addition, 480 billion VND will be used to deal with drainage problems across the city, whilst 190 billion VND will go to upgrade and repair downgraded inter-ward drainage pipes this year.

The municipal Department of Construction will join forces with the district-level authorities and functional bodies to develop urban drainage services in 2019 at a cost of 85 billion VND.
Also, the focus will be on developing plans on handling wastewater spill incidents between March and April, updating drainage system data, and coordinating with the district-level authorities to make plans on repairing canals, ditches and sewers.
