Each year, hundreds of Da Nang students go to Australia for study, return to the city after finishing their courses, and make greater dedication to the city’s progress.
Da Nang is currently focusing on developing 2 main aspects, namely tourism, and high technology.
Over recent years, the city’s tourism industry has developed strongly, recording an annual high growth rate.
Each year, the city welcomes a total of 8 million visitors from both home and abroad, especially, a significantly growing number of foreigners.
However, the number of Australian tourists and investors to Da Nang has still been modest. Vice Chairman Dung, therefore, said that the city needs a helping hand from Australian Consul General Julianne Cowley to foster the bilateral ties between Da Nang and Australian localities, in tandem with appealing for even more investors and Australian tourists to the city.
In reply, Consul General Julianne Cowley said that Da Nang and Australian localities share a lot of similarities in development orientations, especially in tourism, healthcare, education, and high technology.
The Australian diplomat pledged that she would have meetings with the Australian government for effective ways to appeal for even more investors from her country to Da Nang.
