Singapore helps the city deploy transport infrastructure projects
On Thursday, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung held a reception for Mr Kow Juan Tiang, Deputy Executive Director of Infrastructure Asia (IA) of Singapore.
During his meeting with the city leader, the Singaporean guest remarked IA has discussed with the municipal departments of Transportation, and Planning and Investment about suitable technological solutions and international funds for the city.
Mr Tiang confirmed his agency has gained a rich experience in infrastructure development from its presence in many countries worldwide.
He also asked for help from the municipal government to facilitate his agency to promote the implementation of the projects of Lien Chieu Port, railway station relocation, and a tram line connecting the city and Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.
For his part, Vice Chairman Dung affirmed that Singapore is one of the city’s most important partners.
“Over recent years, the two localities have signed many memoranda of understanding on boosting bilateral cooperation and professional exchange, as well as have conducted join research into the city’s master plans by 2030, with a vision towards 2050”, he added.
Mr Dung urged relevant local agencies to give a helping hand to IA to accelerate the implementation of transport infrastructure projects in the city.
