On Wednesday, Da Nang People’s Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung played host to a group of visitors from China’s Shandong People’s Council, led by Vice Chairman Wang Liang.

Chairman Trung briefed his guests on the city’s socio-economic remarkable achievement over recent years, and its development strategies in the future.

He, also, expressed his delight at the fine development of the bilateral ties with the Chinese province over the past 24 years. He hoped that the bilateral relations between the two localities would be lifted to new heights in the future in such aspects as information technology, environmental technology, and smart urban.

For his part, Vice Chairman Wang Liang said that he was very impressed with Da Nang’s beautiful and modern urban planning work.

He remarked his locality was keen to expand bilateral cooperative relations with Da Nang in the coming time.

The Chinese guest also took the opportunity to invite Da Nang’s leaders to attend the 2019 International Friendship Cities Conference on Cooperation and Development with Shandong Province which is slated to take place in the province’s Jinan City in October.

Chairman Trung thanked the Chinese guest for his invitation, saying that he would convey Mr Wang's invitation to the city’s leaders.
