British billionaire shows keen interest in building non-profit modern marina in the city
On Tuesday, Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho met with billionaire Joe Lewis, the major shareholder in Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, on his superyacht Aviva which is anchoring in the Tien Sa Port.

Chairman Tho introduced the British billionaire to his city’s strengths and its socio-economic achievements, plus some popular attractions.
The city leader also expressed his delight at the fruitful results from cooperative programmes with some English localities over recent years.
Mr Tho also asked for help from Mr Joe Lewis to give active support for the local sports sectors. In addition, Chairman Tho said his city is welcoming his investment into culture, tourism and real estate.
In reply, Mr Joe thanked the city leader for his warm welcome, and expressed his desire to build a non-profit modern marina in the city in order to help the city attract even more visitors from both home and abroad.
On Monday, 150US$ 98-meter superyacht Aviva, owned UK billionaire Joe Lewis, berthed at the Tien Sa Port.
During his ongoing stay in the seaside city, the British billionaire is scheduled to visit some of the city’s popular tourist attractions such as the Sun World Ba Na Hills and the night market, as well as Quang Nam Province’s Hoi An City.
