During his meeting on Wednesday with representatives from municipal departments and agencies, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh asked the Department of Information and Communications to supervise and assist relevant agencies to perfect their detailed plans and make cost estimates for a project to build Da Nang into a smarter city during the 2019-2020 period before 20 June.

Vice Chairman Chinh also agreed with the Department’s suggestion about building smart district models. As planned, such model will be trialed in Lien Chieu District.

As part of a project to developing Da Nang into a smarter city over the 2018-2025 period, with a vision towards 2030, 7 projects from the information technology capital source, 23 from the investment and development capital source, and 3 from official development assistance (ODA) and entrepreneurial capital sources will be implemented in the city during the 2019-2020 period.

Currently, these projects are in on-schedule progress.
