The laws comprised the revised Law on Execution of Criminal Judgments, the law amending and supplementing some articles of the Law on Insurance Business and the Law on Intellectual Property, the amended Law on Education, and the Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcohol and Beer.

The resolutions included one approving Vietnam’s accession to the International Labour Organisation (ILO)’s Convention 98 on the Application of the Principles of the Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining, and another on the establishment of a supervision delegation of the NA in 2020.

The adopted resolution of the seventh sitting said that the Government must keep a close watch on the reality to drastically instruct the implementation of socio-economic targets set for 2019.

The NA asked the Government to monitor the realisation of the approved laws and resolutions, promptly remove obstacles to local administrative arrangement, control diseases among poultry and animals, and effectively handle issues of public concern.

The Government needs to swiftly amend and supplement regulations on the settlement of traffic violations, according to the resolution.

In her closing remarks, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said measures should be taken to materialise laws and resolutions passed by the legislature during the session.

She also called for prompt preparations for contents of the eighth sitting of the NA.

The closing session was broadcast live on the Vietnam Television, radio The Voice of Vietnam and the NA’s Television Channel.
