Over 10.6 billion VND raised for poor children
A charity musical performance entitled ‘Human Love’ took place at Da Nang’s Trung Vuong Theatre at 7.30pm on Saturday. The intention was to raise funds for poor and disadvantaged children across the city.

Attending the event were municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, and People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho.
On behalf of the city leaders, Chairman Tho donated 150 million VND from the city budget to the programme.
Also at the event, scholarships, worth 2 million VND each, were given to 100 poor children who have overcome their difficulties to study well.
Between early April and 9 June, the programme raised a total of over 10.6 billion VND from organisations and individuals from both home and abroad.
Also on the same day, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection and the municipal Youth Union jointly organised a ‘Childhood Festive Day’ programme.
The programme featured numerous musical exchange activities and exciting folk games.
In addition, the programme’s organisers presented gifts, worth 250,000 VND each, to 500 children in difficult circumstances.
In his remarks at the event, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh highly praised the Association for its great efforts in giving active support to disadvantaged children across the city over recent years.
He also pledged that the municipal authorities would create the best conditions for local children to develop their spiritual life and physical health comprehensively.
