Around 11 billion VND for social policy beneficiaries
Recently, the Da Nang authorities have given a nod to spend nearly 11 billion VND from the city budget on presenting gifts to 26,636 social policy beneficiaries in the build up to the 72nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (27 July).
In detail, 1 million VND will be given to each of heroic Vietnamese mothers, husbands of died heroic Vietnamese mothers, People's Armed Forces heroes, labour heroes, war invalids, sick soldiers, and veterans who lost 81% or more of their working capacity due to exposure to toxic chemicals during the war.
Besides, gifts, worth 500,000 VND each, will be given to relatives of martyrs.
Meanwhile, presents, valued at 400,000 VND each, will go to relatives of martyrs, war invalids and sick soldiers who have lost 80% or less of their working capacity, and veterans who lost 80% or less of their working capacity due to exposure to toxic chemicals during the war.
In addition, the city leaders will visit and donate 1 million VND each to some poor social policy families. They will pay visits to the care centres for those who had made great contributions to the nation's revolutionary cause in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province.
