Fostering cooperative ties with Mimasaka
On Friday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh played host to a group of visitors from Japan’s Mimasaka City authorities, led by its Deputy Mayor Araki Toshiaki.
During his reception for the Japanese guests, Vice Chairman Minh remarked that his city has been focusing on attracting Japanese investment over recent years. He hoped under the help of the Mimasaka branch of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association, even more Japanese investors would be willing to pour their money into such aspects Da Nang as education, healthcare, tourism, hi-tech and logistics.
Mr Minh hoped that the cooperative ties between the two localities would be established officially soon in a bid to enhance their exchange, cooperation and investment activities.
In reply, Deputy Mayor Toshiaki noted although Da Nang and Mimasaka have not yet established officially their cooperative relations, the Japanese city has implemented many cooperative programmes on education and human resource development at the University of Da Nang under the support of the ciy branch of the Japan-Viet Nam Friendship Association in recent years.
“Since 2015, Mimasaka has annually received graduates from Da Nang to work at the Mimasaka City Hall for a one-year period. In addition, our lecturers have been sent to Da Nang to teach Japanese language for local government officials and students”, the guest added.
He revealed Mimasaka would be responsible for giving support and receiving the Viet Nam team who will come to Japan to compete in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
