On Tuesday, the Da Nang People's Committee and Nhan Dan Newspaper, the official newspaper of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, entered into an agreement to boost their cooperative ties in information and communications exchanges.

In attendance at the ceremony event were municipal Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia and Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri, municipal People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, and Editor-in-Chief of the Nhan Dan Newspaper Thuan Huu.

The cooperation programme is scheduled to be implemented during the 2019 – 2024 period.

The programme aims to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in publicising all Party guidelines and State policies and laws in an accurate, timely and effective manner.

In addition, importance will be attached to widely introducing the city’s socio-economic development potential and its strengths along with its investment and cooperation opportunities to domestic and foreign investors, and advertising local popular attractions to visitors from both home and abroad.

Also, the city’s special and breakthrough models which have proved greatly effective in the city will be publicised so that they can be expanded into other localities.

In an effort to achieve the above-mentioned objectives, the municipal People's Committee will proactively provide the Nhan Dan Newspaper with information on its socio-economic performance and the comprehensive results from all aspects.

Information on the city’s socio-economic development will be introduced on the Nhan Dan Television channel and other publications. Furthermore, the Newspaper will join forces with functional bodies and media agencies across the city to publicise the city’s image and major events taking place in the city.
