City leaders pay tribute to martyrs on National Day

On Friday morning, a group of Da Nang’s leaders, led by municipal Party Committee Secretary Truong Quang Nghia, offered incense and laid a wreath at the 2 September Peace Monument to mark the 74th anniversary of the National Day (2 September).

The participants observed a minute’s silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation’s re-unification.

In front of the hallowed memorial to the heroic martyrs, the leaders vowed that the Party, government and people of Da Nang would forever remember the sacrifices of fallen heroes and martyrs for national independence and reunion. Also, they vowed to do their utmost to make Da Nang a big, ecological and smart city, an innovation and startup centre, and the most liveable city in Asia in the years to come.
