Russian Consul General bids farewell to city leaders

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri highly lauded the great efforts made by Russian Consul General Brovarets Andrei Petrovich in boosting bilateral ties between Da Nang, and some Russian localities and businesses during his tenure in the city, at a farewell reception yesterday.

Mr Tri also wished the Russian diplomat continued successes in his new position. He hoped the guest would do his utmost to encourage even more investors and tourists from his country to the city in the coming time.

Mr Petrovich, for his part, thanked the city’s leaders and local relevant agencies for their great support which enabled him to fulfil his duties well during his 4-year tenure in the city.

He pledged that, in his new position in Asia-Pacific region, he would continue to act as a bridge to foster the cooperation relationships between Da Nang and Russian localities.

He also hoped that the opening of the Da Nang-Russia non-stop service would be accelerated, facilitating to boost the bilateral cooperation ties between Russia and Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole.

Also on the same day, Russian Consul General Petrovich met with municipal People’s Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung, Fatherland Front Committee Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Lien, People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, to bid farewell at the end of his tenure in the city.

At the farewell receptions, the city leaders hailed the Russian diplomat’s great devotion to promoting bilateral ties between Da Nang and Russian localities. They hoped that Mr Petrovich would make every effort to deepen the bilateral relations with Da Nang in the time ahead.
