Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong extended congratulations to Evo Morales Ayama on his reelection as President of Bolivia for the 2020 – 2025 tenure.

Viet Nam and Bolivia formed their diplomatic ties on February 10, 1987.

Two-way trade between Viet Nam and Bolivia was 35 million USD in 2018. Viet Nam exported goods worth 30 million USD to Bolivia, while the Latin American country shipped commodities valued at 5 million USD to Viet Nam.
