'Heart for Heart' organisation gives active support for Da Nang
On Thursday morning, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh played host to Prof. Dr Erich Lejeune, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ‘Heart for Heart’ organisation.
During his reception for his guest, Vice Chairman Chinh highly valued the German non-profit organisation for its valuable sponsorship activities for Da Nang over recent years.
The host took the opportunity to thank Mr Erich Lejeune, and the organisation as a whole, for joining efforts with the municipal authorities to help local patients with heart problems overcome their difficulties.
Mr Chinh hoped that the ‘Heart for Heart’ organisation would continue to give more active support about medical equipment and knowledge for the city’s healthcare sector during its building and development progress.
In reply, Mr Erich Lejeune expressed his thanks to the city leader for his warm welcome. He hoped the bilateral cooperative relations between the municipal government and his organisation would be further strengthened in the coming time.
The guest briefed Da Nang on Munich City’s traffic management experience, and its outstanding achievements in healthcare sector. He, therefore, suggested that the city’s leaders should visit the German city to learn about its value experience in healthcare sector.
Prof. Dr. Erich Lejeune also proposed that a Medical University and a family doctor model should be developed in Da Nang.
On the occasion, the ‘Heart for Heart’ organisation donated the Da Nang General Hospital a 3 billion VND diagnostic imaging machine, and presented scholarships to 4 disadvantaged students in Da Nang.
