During his recent reception for a delegation from the Shizuoka Prefectural Assembly, led by Mr Toudou Yoichi, the Japanese-Vietnamese Friendship Association of Kakegawa in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh thanked this Japanese locality, and Japan as a whole, for active support given to Da Nang in recent years.

According to Vice Chairman Chinh, Da Nang and Shizuoka Prefecture share many similarities in transportation system, infrastructure, education, and tourism. He, therefore, suggested that the two sides foster their cooperative ties in such aspects as human resource training, labour exchanging, tourism development, and investment promotion in information technology and hi-tech agriculture.

In particular, the host affirmed that, given its hi-tech and concentrated IT parks, and convenient transportation systems via roads, railways, airways, and waterways, Da Nang’s cooperation with Shizuoka Prefecture is highly expected to see good results in the coming time.

He also took the opportunity to ask for help from Mr Toudou Yoichi to appeal for even more businesses from Shizuoka Prefecture to invest in Da Nang.

In reply, Mr Yooudo Toudou said many Vietnamese workers now work in Shizuoka Prefecture, and Japan at large, adding that Viet Nam’s labour resources are very suitable for this East Asian country. Besides, Shizuoka Prefecture also shows off great advantages and strengths in education, tourism, industry, and hi-tech agriculture. Based on these facts, Japanese guest, therefore, hoped that, in the coming time, the two sides would promote their cooperation in various aspects for the sake of their better relationships.
