The project covers such aspects as food safety, medical supervision in the education system, air pollution prevention, and waste management.

Under the agreement, the East Meets West organisation will provide technical assistance for the municipal Department of Information and Communications, and other related agencies during the implementation of this project.

Meanwhile, the Department will facilitate foreign experts who get involved in the project, plus employees of this non-governmental organisation in Viet Nam to deploy effectively the project in the city.

In his remarks at the signing ceremony, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung said the building of an e-government and smart city is one of the city’s important tasks.

He noted that the implementation of the BHC project was suitable with the city’s sustainable development goals during its process of building a smarter city.
