During his meeting with Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh, Italian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City Dante Brandi remarked he was very impressed with the city’s rapid growth in recent years.

The Italian diplomat affirmed he would do his utmost to foster the bilateral cooperative ties with Da Nang in such aspects as tourism, culture, education and the building of a smarter city.

The Italian diplomat voiced his support for the establishment of formal cooperative ties, as well as for the opening of non-stop flights, between Da Nang and Italian localities in the time ahead.

In reply, Vice Chairman Minh expressed his delight at fruitful results from the bilateral cooperation programmes between Italy and Viet Nam over recent years.

He noted, to date, 15 businesses in Da Nang have set up the trade relations with their Italian partners. Besides, the city is now home to 6 Italian-funded projects in the aspects of manufacturing and processing, and service.  

The host also took the opportunity to ask the Italian ambassador to appeal for even more businesses from his country to invest into the aspects of hi-tech, environmental protection, and high-quality services.
