43 million VND in Tet gifts given to disadvantaged people
On Friday, representatives from the Journalists’ Association, and the Office of the municipal National Assembly - the People’s Council - People’s Committee in Da Nang, presented Tet gifts, valued at one million VND each, to 20 poor patients at the Da Nang General Hospital.

Another recipients received 5 million VND each. They were single mom Nguyen Thi Minh Trang, 28, who is raising her 4 children in the alley No K524 /14 on Hoang Dieu Street, Hoa Thuan Dong Ward, Hai Chau District, 60-year-old Mai Thi Trung in Lien Chieu District's Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, and Mr Nguyen Hong in Cam Le District.
Also in January, Tet presents, worth 2 million VND each, were given to poor members of the municipal Journalists’ Association
In sum, a total of 43 million VND from the fund of the ‘Ly Ca Phe Yeu Thuong’ (Cup of Compassion Coffee) programme went to help needy people during the month.
