City leaders extend Tet greetings to China consulate staff
On Wednesday morning, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, along with leaders of municipal departments and agencies, visited and extended their greetings to the staff of the China Consulate General in Da Nang in the build up to the upcoming Tet Festival.

On behalf of the government and people of Da Nang, Vice Chairman Chinh extend his best wishes to the Chinese Consul General in Da Nang, her husband and all the staff of the China Consulate General, on the occasion of the special festival.
Mr Chinh remarked 2020 marked a special milestone for the bilateral ties between Viet Nam and China. This year will also mark the 70th anniversary year of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (18 January 1950 - 18 January 2020).
“During the year, a number of cultural and people-to-people exchange activities will be organised in Da Nang in a bid to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Viet Nam and China”, the city leader noted.
In reply, Chinese Consul General Xi Hui thanked the Da Nang leaders for their active support which enabled her to fulfil his duties well.
She vowed that she would continue her efforts to deepen bilateral ties between Da Nang and some Chinese localities.
In 2019, Da Nang welcomed a combined total of 731,827 Chinese visitors, accounting for 25% of the total number of tourist arrivals to the city. The city is now home to 83 Chinese-funded FDI projects.
To date, there have been 8 air routes connecting Da Nang with some Chinese localities with about 72 flights weekly.
