Deputy PM extends Tet greetings to senior citizens and social policy beneficiaries in the city
On Tuesday, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh paid pre-Tet visits to some senior citizens and social policy beneficiaries in Da Nang.

He was accompanied by municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang and People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho.
During his visits to senior citizens and social policy beneficiaries in the city, Deputy PM Binh highly praised them for their active support for the socio-economic development policies issued by national and municipal governments over the past year.
He also wished them good health and happiness in the year ahead, and encouraged them to continue setting a good example for younger generations to follow.
Following recent approval by the Da Nang People's Committee, a total of 27 billion VND from the city budget will go to help poor and social policy beneficiaries across the city to help them celebrate the upcoming Tet Festival.
In detail, cash gifts of 2.5 million VND each will be given to those who are revolutionary veterans, the families of late municipal Party Committee members, and sick former muncipal People’s Committee Vice Chairmen.
In addition, 1.4 million VND in cash will be donated to each of very poor social policy families, heroic Vietnamese mothers, husbands of died heroic Vietnamese mothers, People's Armed Forces heroes, labour heroes, war invalids, sick soldiers, and veterans who lost 81% or more of their working capacity due to exposure to toxic chemicals during the past wars.
Meanwhile, cash presents, valued at one million VND each, will be given to relatives of martyrs. The remaining social policy beneficiaries will receive 550,000 VND each.
