PM pays Tet visit to the city
On Saturday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid Tet visits to armed forces, and the Hai Chau District and Thuan Phuoc Ward authorities, in Da Nang.

He was accompanied by municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, municipal People's Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho, and municipal People's Council Chairman Nguyen Nho Trung.
During his meeting with local police offers, on behalf of the national government leaders, PM Phuc highly appreciated the tremendous achievements that the city's armed forces gained last year, including ensuring security, and social safety and order.
He said proudly that last year witnessed the country's strongest development. In particular, the national security and safety were guaranteed, whilst the defence and security over sea, islands, borders and remote areas were ensured. Most notably, The ethnic minority groups showed their belief to the leadership of the Party. He added the success was partly contributed to the great efforts of the city-based armed forces.

The national leader remarked, many important political events will be held in Da Nang in 2020. In particular, Da Nang will be the first locality in the country to host high-level conferences as Viet Nam takes over the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2020.
Mr Phuc added Da Nang played a vital role in promoting the country's socio-economic development and ensuring the national defence and security. Also, the city was major socio-economic hub of Central Viet Nam. He hoped that the city-based armed forces would do their utmost to fulfill this year's assigned tasks.
He took the opportunity to wish officers and men of the armed forces in the city a happy and healthy year, and achieve more success in the year.

Also on the same day, the Government leader visited and extended Tet wishes to the authorities and residents in Hai Chau District, and the district's Thuan Phuoc Ward.
When meeting with the district authorities, Mr Phuc expressed his delight at the locality's remarkable achievements last year, especially in urban security, social safety and environmental sanitation.
He expressed his hope that Hai Chau District would continue promoting the role of the central district to proactively boost the implementation of the e-government and a poverty reduction campaign, as well as the building of a cultural and civilised urban lifestyle.
He also asked the district leaders to make greater efforts to create a favourable investment environment in order to attract more FDI inflows into the locality.

During his meeting with the Thuan Phuoc Ward authorities, PM Phuc extended Tet greetings from national leaders to them.
He urged the ward government to accelerate administrative reforms, and effectively implement the e-government.
He added special attention should be paid to widely publicising the guidelines and policies of the Party and State amongst people of all walks of life, as well as building a cultural and civilised urban lifestyle in each family.
