On Tuesday, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang visited and extended his greetings to the staff of the municipal Department of Health and the Lung Hospital in recognition of the upcoming Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (27 February).

During his meeting with leaders of the Department of Health, Deputy Secretary Quang highly lauded the unit for its great efforts in improving the quality of healthcare services over the past year.

The focus has been on accelerating the administrative reforms at public hospitals and medical stations across the city, developing high-quality human resources in healthcare sector, and equipping advanced medical equipment at some medical facilities.

He also praised the department for their active involvement in giving their ideas to develop preventive measures against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) to the municipal leaders.

He also expressed his concern about the current epidemic situation. He urged the department’s staff to uphold their responsibility and keep a close eye on the situation in the city.

During his visit to the Lung Hospital, Mr Quang asked the hospital’s staff members to make even greater efforts to control possible outbreak of the deadly disease.
