Da Nang People’s Committee Chairman Huynh Duc Tho has ordered leaders of local government departments and agencies to temporarily suspend their foreign trips until further notice amid the novel coronavirus threat.

In particular, the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs will be responsible for completing necessary procedures for cancelling the city’s investment promotion activities in South Korea, India, and Italy from 19 February - 1 March.

Earlier on 31 January (the 7^th day of the 1^st lunar month), Chairman Tho directed members of the municipal People's Committee, and leaders of government departments and agencies, to halt their post-Tet visits to local companies in an attempt to prevent the possible spread of the new virus in the city.
