Employees to take 4 days off from work for forthcoming public holidays
Employees of government agencies and departments, as well as those of political and social organisations, nationwide will officially have 4 days off for the National Reunification Day (30 April) and International Labour Day (1 May), according to the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.
The break for the upcoming holidays will last from Thursday, 30 April, to Sunday, 3 May.
In Da Nang, local agencies, businesses, families and vessels anchoring in the Han River are all required to fly national flags on 30 April and 1 May.
Meanwhile, local government agencies and domestic businesses are asked to fly national flags and the flags of the Communist Party of Viet Nam at their headquarters during the holidays.
The heads of local agencies are urged to arrange for some of their employees to remain on duty, as well as to ensure security and order over the holiday period.
