PM approves project to increase use of e-documents
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a project to archive electronic documents of State-run agencies from 2020-2025.
The project aims to make it easier for people and businesses to access and use the archives of State agencies.
It will also improve the system of legal and professional guidance documents stored in electronic archives, and ensure at least 80 percent of the documents stored at State agencies are created online in accordance with the law on e-transactions and e-archiving.
The Government leader assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to supervise the implementation of the project and make annual reports to the Prime Minister.
He tasked the ministry with submitting reports to the National Assembly for amendments and supplements to the Law on Archives to meet the requirements of e-archive management due to be completed in 2021.
