During his meeting with Vietnamese diplomatic officials, Chairman Tho asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to give a helping hand to Da Nang to boost bilateral ties with Northeast Asian countries, and other foreign countries around the world.
The city leader also asked for help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to set up a Japanese-invested industrial park in Da Nang, promote the launch of new non-stop air services from Da Nang to international destinations, and advertise the beautiful images of Da Nang to international friends.
Deputy Minister Le Hoai Trung highly praised Da Nang for its remarkable achievements in foreign affairs.
Mr Trung also underscored that the Da Nang government should pay more attention to rolling out the red carpet to foreign entrepreneurs and investors, especially those from Japan, South Korean, and the USA who want to move their factories from China to Viet Nam after the coronavirus crisis passes in a bid to boost overseas inward investment.
Mr Trung underlined the necessity for the city to appeal for investment inflows from both home and abroad into such aspects as hi-tech, electronics, manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, shipbuilding, and tourism.
Deputy Minister Trung said he is willing to lend a helping hand to Da Nang to promote the opening of new non-stop flights from Da Nang to Fukuoka (Japan) in the coming time in order to satisfy the growing travel demand of travellers of the two countries.
