Boosting bilateral ties, cooperation with German
Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh held talks on Thursday in the city with German Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Josefine Wallat to boost bilateral ties and cooperation between Da Nang and German.

The officials discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation between Da Nang and German localities, and promote the launch of non-stop air service between Da Nang and Germany in a bid to facilitate travellers visiting, and businesses seeking investment opportunities.
Vice Chairman Minh said, till date, Da Nang has attracted 4 German-invested projects and many of Da Nang businesses have conducted import/export activities with their German partners in such aspects as textiles and garments, seafood, woodwork, fishing rods, medicine, and chemicals.
Mr Minh took the opportunity to invite the German diplomat to attend the Da Nang Investment Forum 2020 which is slated to take place in the city in 20 September.
Ms Josefine Wallat applauded Da Nang’s efforts to contain the spread of of coronavirus. She also thanked the municipal government for its active support given to German nationals who were stranded in the city during the nationwide social distancing period.
The German Ambassador highlighted the opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation, particularly in information technology and seaport. She also said that Da Nang's investment opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry are appealing to many German companies operating in Ho Chi Minh City.
