On Tuesday afternoon, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh, visited the Da Nang Journalists’ Assocation, the Da Nang Public security Newspaper, and the representative offices of Thanh Nien (Youth), Sai Gon Giai Phong (Liberated Sai Gon) and Tuoi Tre newspapers in Da Nang in the build-up to the 95^th anniversary of Viet Nam's Revolutionary Press Day (21 June).

Vice Chairman Chinh highlighted the important role of local press agencies in publicising the guidelines and policies of the Party, the State and the city, and supporting efforts to promote the development of the city.

Mr Chinh also praised the efforts of local press agencies in Viet Nam’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic. He remarked that they helped stop the spread of the pandemic in Da Nang, and Viet Nam as a whole, by disseminating reliable information, raising public awareness, and debunking fake news.

Leaders of local press agencies thanked the city government for its great care and support over the past years. They also affirmed that their news organisations would continue their support for Da Nang’s progress, and increase their efforts to promote an attractive image of Da Nang as a beautiful and peaceful place.
