Da Nang and Quang Ninh shares experience in tourism development

Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Nguyen Van Quang on Monday morning received a group of visitors from Quang Ninh Province, led by his counterpart Ngo Hoang Ngan. Municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Le Trung Chinh was also present.

During the meeting, Deputy Secretary Quang highlighted the significance of such meeting between leaders of Da Nang and Quang Ninh governments in exchanging and sharing experiences in the tourism management work, thereby helping boost the two localities’ growth.

Mr Quang said Da Nang and Quang Ninh Province have great potentials and advantages for tourism development, and the two localities have taken measures to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector.

Da Nang’s official also highlighted the importance of developing new and unique tourism products to Da Nang and Quang Ninh in a bid to increase tourist arrivals in their localities.

Mr Quang revealed that Da Nang is focusing on promoting the night time economy with the development of new exciting nighttime activities and new specialised shopping and eating areas.

In addition, special attention is paid to developing tourism in combination with organising international-scale events, as well as completely resolving the environmental problems.

During the meeting, leaders of Da Nang and Quang Ninh Province governments exchanged views on ways to link on developing tourism products, especially increase flights between Quang Ninh and Da Nang.

The officials discussed ways to boost tourism, and attract even more investment into tourism projects in their localities in the time to come. Their discussion also focused on plans to recover tourism industry from the coronavirus pandemic.
